Victoria Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week
When I lived in New Mexico some 20 years ago, I rode a motorcycle for my daily transportation. Unfortunately, too many close calls with idiot drivers forced me to sell my bike and get a car before I got seriously injured. It's bad enough that a lot of people on the road don't pay enough attention to their surroundings and motorcycles in particular, but when a driver causes an accident with a motorcycle and then doesn't even have the decency to do the right thing, it's much worse. That's the subject of this week's Crime of the Week.
Victoria Crime Stoppers is seeking information regarding a hit and run that occurred on December 20th, 2018. At about 7:05 pm, a silver SUV turned in front of a motorcycle causing a collision near the 1600 block of N Navarro Street.
The motorcycle hit the SUV on the back passenger side near the wheel. The motorcyclist stated a Hispanic female stopped and exited her vehicle shortly after the crash, checked her vehicle for damage, and then got back into the SUV and drove away without checking on him.
