Tropical Strom Gonzalo has also been upgraded as well.

Forecast now show that Gonzalo will now be a hurricane before the end of today!  It is currently on a westward track at 12 MPH, with current sustained winds of 65 MPH.  We will start watching this storm very closely early next week as it makes it's way towards the Gulf of Mexico.  Stay safe and prepared!

We are about to head into the prime months of hurricane season.  This is when tropical storms and hurricanes can form not just in the Gulf of Mexico, off the Southeast coast or western Caribbean Sea, but also in what is called the main development region and take long tracks through the Atlantic Basin.
