With more than a month to go in the 2020 Atlantic Hurricane season, the tropics are not done with us yet.

Gov. Abbott has issued a disaster declaration for Tropical Storm Beta, as heavy winds and rain slowly reach the South Texas Coast.

Due to weather concerns, many schools and all City of Victoria facilities will be closed for a 24 hour period.

Tropical Storm force winds and periods of heavy rain could impact the Crossroads by Monday.

Tropical Storm Beta may strengthen into a Hurricane by early next week.

We have reached the peak of Hurricane Season here in mid-September. 2020 continues to be an unprecedented year.

The 2020 Tropical season is one of the busiest on record with two more Tropical Storms spinning in the Atlantic.

There are currently 4 systems being watched by the National Hurricane Center including Tropical Storm 'Nana'.

Well, that's terrifying.

Marco will likely affect the U.S. coast late Monday into Tuesday while Laura may arrive Wednesday into Thursday.

Two tropical systems could impact the Gulf of Mexico and the Texas coast by late Tuesday or early Wednesday.

The warning means the Crossroads could see tropical-storm-force winds over the next 36-hours.
