Tomorrow marks a historic day for the United States of America as the 46th president is set to take office.  January 20, 2021, will go down in the history books.  Not only will Joe Biden take office, but so will the first American female vice president, Kamala Harris.

No matter what side of the political spectrum you sit on, all Americans can get behind this symbolism.  President-Elect Joe Biden's Inauguration will look very different from previous years. A lot of the core areas are closed due to the pandemic, including the National Mall area.  How will they fill the space?  The inauguration committee, in an effort to be sure the American people were represented,  chose to place just over 190,000 American flags over the water of the National Mall.  What an awesome sight!

The flags are meant to represent the American people who can't attend Biden's inauguration. There are 56 pillars to represent the 50 states and US territories. The public art display reflects 'our commitment to an inclusive and safe event that everyone can enjoy from home," the committee said.

After one of the most stressful elections that I can remember, is behind us.  My hope is that we can all move forward and remember that we are not Democrats or Republicans, but we are American.

Here how to stream and watch the inauguration, in case you don't have cable TV.
