10 Year Old Starved Nearly To Death Discovered with 0% Body Fat

A disgusting couple in Abilene has been released on a $20,000 bail after being charged with "Injury to a Child."

UNDER INVESTIGATION

Last week Marela Ortiz and Jesus Sanchez have been under investigation since January of 2021 by Child Protective Services.

The couple had their children removed from their home back in 2021 and just last week Marcela, the mother, and Jesus, the stepfather were thrown in jail after the disheartening condition their children were found in.

MEDICAL EXAM REVEALS HEARTBREAKING CONDITIONS

A 10-year-old girl was so incredibly malnourished she had a heartbreaking amount of body fat. Court documents state a medical exam showed the girl 0% body fat and showed signs of malnourishment and starvation.

Court documents revealed the child, “was being deprived of food as punishment. ” It also stated she wasn’t allowed to eat until lunch or dinner and was sent to bed without food if she threw a fit about not eating.

The 10-year-old girl admitted she was often so hungry she would sneak food out of the trashcan.

ANOTHER CHILD IN THE HOME

There is still another child who remains in that wretched household. The twisted couple also has an 8-year-old who is showing signs of malnutrition. Court documents described him as "extremely thing with very little muscle tone." CPS is currently trying to get him out of the home and into their custody.
