Another weekend, and another set of recipes to test out your bartender skills. You up for the challenge? Since these are too difficult (maybe in terms of ingredients gathering, but not making) you should be able to mix up some fantastic results from these. And to welcome in the new season of fall, I took the liberty of adding some fall themed drink specials. No need to thank, just get to the mixing.

Apple Butter Old Fashioned (original source)
Ingredients:
¼ c Apple Cider
½ oz Lemon Juice
1 dash (1/8 tsp) Orange Bitters
1 tbsp Apple Butter
2 oz Bourbon
1-3 oz Ginger Beer/Ginger Kombucha (optional)
Garnish – Apple Slice (thin), Cinnamon
Rim – Coarse Sugar (optional)
How To:
Optional – Start by rimming your chosen glass with the sugar.
Add the ingredients (minus the optional beer/kombucha) to a shaker with ice and shake well, then strain into the glass with ice. Now at this point you can add the beer/kombucha if you want, but it isn’t necessary. Finally, garnish the concoction with the cinnamon and apple slice.

All, if not most, of these drink ingredients can be found at your local liquor store. Keep in mind that the summer heat is unforgiving and you need to make sure to drink plenty of water to keep hydrated and cool. Townsquare Media and KIXS 108 do not condone underage drinking and encourage you to drink responsibly. Have a safe and fun weekend!
