Its Christmas time! Have you Christmas parties all planned out? Food? Decorations? Beverages? Honestly, there's no better Christmas beverage that Eggnog and homemade eggnog is the best kind. Do you know how to make it from scratch?

4 c Milk
5 Whole Cloves
½ tsp Vanilla Extract
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
12 Egg Yolks
1½ c Sugar
2½ c Light Rum
4 c Light Cream
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
½ tsp Ground Nutmeg
How To:
In a sauce pan, add the milk, cloves (1/2 tsp) vanilla extract and cinnamon. Heat the saucepan on the lowest setting for about 5 minutes and get the milk to boil, but slowly. Then in a large bowl, add the egg yolks and sugar and whisk them until the mixture is fluffy. Keeping whisking as you now add the hot milk concoction into the mixture. When that has been whisked together, pour the new mixture into the saucepan and cook over medium heat while you stir until its nice and thick (don’t let it boil). Now you’ll need to strain the mixture to remove the cloves. After straining, you will now stir in the rum, cream, (2 tsp) vanilla extract, and nutmeg. The final step for this is to refrigerate you eggnog overnight so it will be perfectly ready for consumption and sharing the next day…or selfish consumption if you don’t feel like sharing.
