How To:
Combine the ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake well. Smokey Whiskey Mule (original source)
Ingredients:
6 (6in) Slices of Bacon
3 tbsp Brown Sugar
1 tbsp Cajun/hot chili Powder
½ oz Lemon Juice
3 oz Jack Daniels Whiskey
12 oz Ginger Beer
How To:
Cook up the bacon on lined baking sheet covering the bacon with the Cajun Powder and Brown Sugar. Bake at 375 Degrees for 15 min (or your preference of crispiness for bacon) and let the bacon cool overnight. Then put 4 of the bacon slices Jack Daniels into a shaker with ice and shake well. Let the mixture sit overnight (or longer for flavoring). Strain the bacon whiskey mixture and lemon juice into a glass with ice and stir. Then add the ginger beer and stir again. Garnish with the candied bacon and enjoy the concoction.
All, if not most, of these drink ingredients can be found at your local liquor store. Keep in mind that the summer heat is unforgiving and you need to make sure to drink plenty of water to keep hydrated and cool. Townsquare Media and KIXS 108 do not condone underage drinking and encourage you to drink responsibly. Have a safe and fun weekend!
