We can probably all agree that the winter storms over the past few days have gotten all of us a little worked up, no one wants to be without the basic comforts of water and heat, but arguably no one has been more vocal about his feelings than the now-former mayor of Colorado City Texas mayor, Tim Boyd.

Mayor Boyd got so worked up over complaints about the winter weather issues from his constituents that he decided to hash out his feelings on social media, telling everyone and we do mean everyone, EXACTLY how he felt about their complaints.

A post he later admits he regrettably wrote out of frustration.

In the rapidly trending social media post, Tim offered via Twitter that Colorado City Texas residents concerned about being without electricity and water were being "lazy and weak" adding that local utility services and local government owed them "nothing".

You can read the full Tweet and his response days later after he resigned and his wife was allegedly fired from her job by reading the full article written by Jamie Birch at KTXS.com here.  Boyd offered later in a second post, "I ask that you each understand I never meant to speak for the city of Colorado City or Mitchell county! I was speaking as a citizen as I am NOT THE MAYOR anymore. I apologize for the wording and ask that you please not harass myself or my family anymore! Threatening our lives with comments and messages is a horrible thing to have to wonder about."

As millions of Texas weather the storm and the damage it has wreaked throughout our state now is a good time to remember to be kind to each other. We are all in this together.
