COVID Vaccinations Postponed This Week for Victoria

Victoria City and County officials and local hospital representatives have made the decision to postpone the vaccination clinics scheduled for this week due to the extreme weather conditions in Victoria and statewide.

Yesterday, the city rescheduled a second-dose clinic to Tuesday of next week and a first-dose clinic that was to allocate 2,000 initial COVID-19 vaccine doses to Wednesday of next week. Appointment times for the second-dose clinic are expected to remain unchanged on the day of the event. Registration details for the Wednesday clinic will be released as they become available. These doses are reserved for Phase 1A and 1B candidates.

 The second-dose vaccination clinic will be available only to those who have already scheduled appointments and received their first doses. Future clinics will be scheduled once additional doses become available from the state. Communications about vaccine availability will continue to be made through the Swift 911 Emergency Notification System, so it is important to sign up to receive alerts by texting the word “ADD” to 361-433-4554. Subscribing to these alerts is not a registration for an appointment.
