The Contingency of Sweets

We have our favorite type of candy. And if you're like me, you have what I like to call Occasion Candy. Now you might be wondering what Occasion Candy is, but the definition is in the title really. It is candy cravings or favorites you consume during certain times like going to a movie theater, Saturday Morning Cartoons in the afternoon (Thank you Netflix...and complete series on DVD) and even holidays like Halloween.

The Candy Store likes to keep track of candy distribution and every state in the U.S has a particular type of candy that is consumed more than others during the Halloween season. For example, the #1 favorite candy choice for Oklahoma is Double Bubble Gum. Can you guess what the #1 candy choice for Texas could be? Go on and try to guess....I'll wait...

...its Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. That's right. Those chocolately peanut butter goodies are this year's #1 candy choice. The Candy Store has claimed they have been distributing over 1.1 million pounds of just Reese's Peanut Butter Cups to Texas. In case you didn't catch that....ONE POINT ONE MILLION POUNDS OF CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER CANDY! Last year (2017) the #1 candy choice for Texas was Starbursts and the Candy Store record's indicated they sent a little over 1 million pounds of Starbursts.
