Every Saturday is the Victoria's Farmer's Market, a program of the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent. Its an open-air, year-round event located in the parking lot of the Pattie Dodson Public Health Center, 2805 N. Navarro. Now, don't let the name fool you. This isn't some Get-Together for farmers only where they swap/exchange produce and such. This is an outside market where all people can attend and purchase local produce. How local you might ask? Well, all vendors at the Farmer's Market must be within 100 miles of the market itself.

Not just fruits and vegetables are sold, but also meat, eggs and bread. You can get a chance to meet the harvesters and crafters of the food and you are welcome to ask any question you may have about what he/she is selling. More often than not, you can find food trucks and live music at the Victoria's Farmer's Market.

As a part of the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent, the Victoria's Farmer's Market is a nonprofit organization. Therefore, you can help keep this event going through purchases at the farmer's market and any donations you feel like giving. By supporting the farmer's market, you are supporting local businesses and farms.
