Yes and no. If you order light ice/no ice, the price should remain the same. Yet, you WILL pay an extra dollar if you order a Refresher with NO WATER.

Customers aren't the only ones confused, many Starbucks baristas are puzzled too. One Reddit user explained, "Everyone please do the training and stop telling customers it applies to light ice!!!"

NO WATER = EXTRA CHARGE

The charge isn't for the lack of water, it is for the extra base that is added to make up for the absence of water. We went to the Starbucks website and tried it for ourselves.

The result was:

  • regular ice = no extra charge

  • light ice = no extra charge

  • no ice = no extra charge

  • no water = extra charge

Unless you're prepared to pay an extra $1, think twice before ordering your Refresher with no water.
