As well all know, Mattress Mack has one of the biggest hearts in Houston, and here is another example of why!   Jim McIngvale, also known as "Mattress Mack." gave seats to The Vietnamese-Dominican sisters from southwest Houston, as reported by ABC-13.

It appears that the presence of the nuns was felt by the Astros as they came back with a couple of huge home runs from stars Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa. The Astros took game 1 and dropped game 2. There were no nuns at game 2 of the ALCS. Game 3 between the Astros and Red Sox will be on Monday at Fenway Park. Let's Go Astros!

In the article, we learn that the sisters are no strangers to the furniture store owner.
Earlier this year, Mack opened a trade school at his Gallery Furniture location off I-45.

The school is a work to faith connection. Part of the faith comes from the nuns who travel to the furniture store and work with students. That passion helped get them to the ballpark.  "They love baseball, baby," Cahill said. "They love the Astros!"

"It's like 20 or 30 sisters ranging in age from teenagers just starting out, to 80-year-old sisters who have been in their whole life," Bishop Brendan Cahill said.

If you remember back to Hurricane Ida earlier this year. Mack sent 30 truckloads to Louisiana to help in the recovery almost immediately.  Mattress Mack transformed has also transformed his furniture stores into shelters for Hurricane Harvey victims providing food and water.  He also sent out his company’s moving trucks to help and rescue about 200 people.  McIngvale has become a well-known figure in the city who has a history of donating to charitable causes and opening his furniture stores as shelters.
