Labor Day Weekend will feature some tasty brisket for the essential workers of Port Lavaca, Texas. Crossroadstoday.com reports that LaVaca BBQ has pledged to offer free brisket to essential workers who purchase a meal. See the flyer below for the first come first served offer.

This will all go down on Saturday, September 5th. The first 25 customers in line will get one pound of brisket with a purchase, the second 25 customers will get a half-pound of brisket with purchase. LaVaca BBQ will then host a big day of giveaways on Sunday.

Lupe Nevarez is a co-owner of Lavaca BBQ. She told crossroadstoday the process would be set us as a "drive-thru" and that they were prepared to do about 600 plates. Pulled pork sandwiches and chips will be on special during the event.

Lunch will include a bottle of water and ice cream. Any passenger who wants a plate must be in the car with you.
