Two of my favorite places in Victoria have joined forces for kids in the community!

As a young parent in Victoria, I often struggled with new things to do in Victoria with my younger kids, but I could always turn to the park or the library as my 'go tos'.

Well, this month these two organizations, Victoria Parks and Recreation and the Victoria Public Library have banded together to bring you and your kids something new to do in Victoria! Look no further than the new Story Trail Walk!

Story Trail Walk is open to the public and ready to take you and your kids on a story trail adventure!

A new collaboration between the City of Victoria Parks & Recreation and the Victoria Public Library combines two fun, family-friendly activities: reading and enjoying nature at Riverside Park.

The new Story Trail Walk allows Riverside Park visitors to experience the children’s book “Hoot Owl: Master of Disguise” as they walk along the nature trail.

Where does the story trail begin and end at Riverside?

The story begins at the trail entrance near Riverside Stadium and concludes at the intersection of Red River Street and Bluff Street.

But that's not all!

Residents who complete the Story Trail Walk can take a selfie with the book’s title character and upload it to social media. Residents are invited to tag Victoria Public Library and Victoria Parks and Recreation on Facebook or @victoriapubliclibrary and @victoriaparks_rec on Instagram.

More stories and adventures are planned for the future and we promise to keep you posted!
