As the fear of contracting COVID-19 spreads, businesses are closing or reducing open hours to limit the risk of potential exposure. Food venues were among the first to close their doors, and now gyms and other workout places are following suit. The Golden Crescent YMCA is adopting the idea of limiting their hours to protect not only their employees but the public as well.

Effective since Wednesday (March 18th) the new hours of operation for the Golden Crescent YMCA are from 7:00 am until 5:00 pm. What does this mean for those who also work during those times? It just means home workouts should become part of your daily routine instead of venturing to the gym. For more information on the Golden Crescent YMCA new hours, click here for the article written by Crossroads Today.  There are several effective home workout regiments anyone can do and not feel the ever-watching-eye-of-strangers upon them.

For example, if you are an avid gamer and find your self playing more now that your gym hours are reduced or gone, you can work out while you play. If you have an exercise bike at home or a treadmill, put that in front of where you normally sit while playing, and use that while you workout. Maybe set some goals as you play. If your character dies, challenge yourself to do 5 pushups each death or failed attempt. If you are a Dark Souls fan and want to play that, you may be more riped by the end of your game than you were intending to be. If you are unfamiliar with Dark Souls...try it out with this challenge. See how far you get before you have to take a break lest your arms fall off.
