KIXS108 is your home for exclusive Texas Longhorn access during the 2021 season. Thanks to our friends at Weber Motor Company, KIXS is featuring a weekly segment with Texas Longhorn and Cuero Gobbler Graduate Jordan Whittington. This week he looks ahead to the huge BIG 12 OU Matchup and recaps last week's win over TCU.  He also answers a listener's question: Who is your favorite team in the NFL? Who are your current top three Quarterbacks in the NFL right now?

 TCU RECAP:
Last week the Texas Longhorns beat the TCU Horned Frogs 32-27 and improved to 4-1,2-0. The Longhorns offense was led by Bijon Robinson who rushed for 216 yards on 35 carries and two touchdowns.  He was absolutely electric in his performance, he ran with so much power. TCU really had to work to bring him down. The most impressive stat from his performance was yards beyond contact.
I asked Jordan in this week's interview, what makes Robinson so good? 'He (Robinson) believes that the first or second person is not going to make the tackle, it's going to take more than one.' he adds, 'He is a monster, all the running back have that I gonna make the first person miss mentality.'  Yards after contact is something that the Longhorns offense is really concentrating on this year.

BRING ON OU

Up next the Texas Longhorns (4-1,2-0) will take on OU (5-0,2-0) and this is the matchup that every Longhorn fan has circled on their calendar. A victory on Saturday would send a very loud message to the rest of the Big 12 Conference. Jordan shares in the interview what it is like running out onto the field at the Red River Rivalry. Last year OU outlasted the UT Longhorns in 4 overtimes with a score of 53-45. Who remembers that crazy game? It's time for revenge, HOOK EM' HORNS!  The kick-off is at 11:00 on Saturday morning.
