New Orleans's quarterback Drew Brees sent the NFL world buzzing yesterday as he announced his retirement via Instagram. Well actually his four children made the announcement for him and it's adorable. See the video below...

If you are a true football fan you have to appreciate what Brees has done in his career for the New Orleans Saints.  I mean I am a Dallas Cowboys fan(cue the jokes here) and think Brees was a beast!  Check out his ridiculous career stats. He is the NFL's all-time leader in career passing yards (80,358) and ranks second all-time in touchdown passes (571) and completion percentage (67.7%). Brees' legacy has long been secured as one of the game's all-time greats and will hold a place in the Football Hall of Fame.

Just less than 24 hours after his retirement was announced it appears that he already has a new gig  In an interview on NBC's "Today Show" Monday, the longtime New Orleans Saints quarterback announced that he's joining the NBC Sports broadcast team as a football analyst. As reported by Yahoo Sports Brees states  "I'm excited about that journey. I'm excited to stay very closely connected with the game of football, it's been such an important part of my life. I continue to be able to talk about it, show a passion for it, and be able to bring my kids along for the ride there as well, and let them be part of those special moments."

His new job responsibilities will be a studio analyst for 'Football Night in America' and also a game analyst for NBC's coverage of Notre Dame Football.   He'll also be part of NBC's Super Bowl LVI team in 2022, and he'll work on other prominent non-football events like the upcoming Olympics.

We wish Drew Brews the best in his new endeavor!
