Cruising majesty, Royal Caribbean, has just announced that cruising will return for several ships in their fleet in June provided that the passengers they carry are inoculated for the COVID virus prior to departure.

In fact, passengers can begin booking their tickets in two days on March 24th.

Royal Caribbean offers that to start, a series of 7-night cruises aboard the Adventure of the Seas has been scheduled for the summer,  and they will be setting sail from the company's new homeport of Nassau, Bahamas beginning June 12.

Royal Caribbean CEO Richard Fain just posted his latest video on Youtube to answer some questions regarding cruising and COVID via Royal Caribbeans blog.

According to Fain, 100,000 cruisers have sailed aboard Royal Caribbean Group’s ships since the pandemic started, with 10 having tested positive for the coronavirus.

Cruise Industry News reports Fain offered, "We have announced three cruises that will require inoculations for all adults, and there are likely to be more. But each circumstance is different. And I would note that the cruises we are currently operating are operating without requiring vaccines,” he said. Fain adds, "“I, therefore, encourage all of you to get your vaccine, follow the CDC advice, and we can be sailing in time to meet President Biden's goal of reopening society in time for the Fourth of July."

As someone who loved, loved, loved the first cruise they have ever taken in 2019, I watched very closely as cruise lines around the world were virtually shut completely down as the COVID virus wreaked havoc around the world and sadly shut down my plan to take a family cruise in 2020 with it.

We took a Carinal Dream cruise out of Galveston two years ago and it was one of the most relaxing vacations we've ever had.

That being said, it was CROWDED so being 6ft apart on that cruise ship would be next to impossible if they aren't limiting capacity as cruise lines reopen.

Still, we'd cruise again and with this great news from Royal Caribbean, we might even be able to cruise in 2021 after all!
