Be A Part of The Great Growth and Progress of Downtown Victoria

We've just been so excited to see the renderings of what the future of downtown Victoria will look like in the next few decades, but right now you can already see and feel the growth and progress of our downtown and Main St.

Downtown Victoria is on fire y'all!

It's with that in mind that Victoria Main Street Program is inviting the community to volunteer their time and talent to be a part of the Main Street Victoria advisory board.

Applications are being taken TODAY

The City of Victoria has issued a civic alert offering that they are taking applications until tomorrow. So if you are interested, please apply TODAY.

Residents have until Nov. 19 to apply to serve on the Victoria Main Street Program’s volunteer board.

The board manages the nonprofit Victoria Main Street Program and includes members of the public as well as nonvoting City staff. The board supports beautification, fundraising, event coordination and other volunteer initiatives downtown.

Residents who live, work or own businesses downtown are encouraged to apply.

New members will be appointed to fill four vacancies, with terms beginning in January 2022. Board members serve for three-year terms.

Meetings are held at 12 p.m. on the last Monday of each month except December at the Victoria Public Library, 302 N. Main St.

To apply or to learn more about the Victoria Main Street Program, contact Director Danielle Williams at 361-485-3060 or dwilliams@victoriatx.gov.

The new board appointments will be announced and officers will be chosen at the board’s Nov. 29 meeting.
