Recently two men were arrested for felony theft of calculators from Target stores in Texas and Minneapolis, MN. Huh, is that really a thing? Psst, you want to buy a calculator?

According to KTSP 5 TV in Minneapolis, the two Dallas men, 23-year-old Zachary Charles Fininen, and 30-year-old Antonio Griffin Jr. are suspected to be part of a organized retail theft ring based in Dallas stealing calculators. They are accused of stealing thousands of dollars of calculators from Target stores in Texas and Minnesota. Does that multiply to sequential years in prison?

Officials estimate the ring has stolen over $250,000 dollars of calculators. Look, this crime just doesn't add up. They were caught driving a rented SUV registered in Texas. So, they paid for a car rental and then drove a thousand miles to steal calculators? Is there a huge market for calculators that I missed in the last couple of years? Do the math.

Evidently, they would load the calculators into an empty cooler, which I'm sure was being stolen too. Then cart them out of the store. They evidently miscalculated their criminal prowess. Talk about bad math, they were caught and arrested in the parking lot of a Target store in Minneapolis, Minnesota after loss prevention alerted the police.

The two men are believed to be responsible for a larger calculator theft ring in Texas that stole more than $250,000 worth of merchandise that has since been recovered.

Imagine how the two members of the Calculator Theft Cartel had to explain inside the joint on what they were in for. Did the jail give them pocket protectors with the scrubs?
