You May Qualify For Home Repair Funds in Victoria

If your home needs some reconstruction, you may qualify for money to pay for it thanks to a federal program that pays for exactly that.

Called the HOME Program, these funds help lower income residents rebuild their homes if they need it, even if the rebuilding is not as a result of Hurricane Harvey damage. applications are now being taken under this program, and an informational meeting is scheduled to help people find out if they're eligible.

Thursday, July 12th beginning at 8am, the meeting will be held at the city development office at 700 Main in Victoria, suite 205, and that's when applications can be submitted. They are available June 8th through July 12th.

The funds are granted through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, through the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
