
Washington DC Is the Most Shopaholic City in the Nation
Nobody would ever call Washington DC a fashion epicenter, but our nation’s capital happens to be the place were folks spend the most money on clothes, shoes and other wear.
The average DC resident shells out $263 a month on these items, according to an analysis of government and private data by Bundle.com. Residents of Arlington, VA, a Washington suburb, spent the second most on clothes a month at $254.58, proving DC’s top placement is no fluke.
Rounding out the top five were Nashville, TN ($251.17 ); Scottsdale, AZ ($243.17); and Dallas, TX ($228.58).
As for New York and Los Angeles, the cities in America most associated with the fashionable set? The Big Apple came in 12th, and LA was all the way down in the 20th spot.
