The city of Victoria continues to find new ways to bring fun to the community during the pandemic and here is another example.  It's the City of Victoria Parks & Recreation’s first-ever drive-in bingo on Feb. 26 at the Riverside Stadium parking lot.

The games start at 7 p.m. The event is free, but registration will be limited to 50 vehicles to allow for adequate spacing and social distancing. Reserve your spot by pre-registering for the event by visiting www.victoriatx.gov/registration or calling 361-485-3200. Registration will be open until 6 p.m. the day of the event or until space is filled.

Residents will tune their radios to 91.1 FM  to receive instructions and hear the letters and numbers that are called. Residents who win each round must honk their car horns, and Parks & Recreation staff will come to their vehicles to verify the win and deliver prizes. The event will feature nine rounds of regular bingo and one round of blackout bingo.

Residents will be required to stay in their vehicles during the event. Residents may remain unmasked in their vehicles except when receiving a prize from Parks & Recreation staff. Staff will be masked during the event, and prizes will be wiped down and sanitized before they are presented to residents.

There will be some awesome prizes including: gift baskets filled with gift cards and a variety of prizes including socks, lotion, and household cleaning items. The prizes for the event were donated by Excel Complete Home Health Care, Crown Hospice, Tag Management Services, and Kindred at Home.
