UHV Softball Helps Raise Money for Cancer Research

When the UHV Jaguar Softball Team takes the field on Friday, they'll be playing for more than just winning the game. They'll also be playing to help raise money for cancer research.

This Friday (April 8), the Jags play LSU-Alexandria in a doubleheader, as part of the Play4TheCure campaign, which helps raise money for the National Foundation for Cancer Research.

The annual fundraiser contributed over $1500 last year from donations that came from fans, friends and family.  If you'd like to make a donation, click here.

When the Jags take the field, they'll be wearing orange jerseys to represent kidney cancer.

If you want to watch some great softball play, remember that the Jags are pretty good this year, with a record of 26-8 overall, 12-2 at home.

Game time is 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Youth Sports Complex. Go Jags!
