In sad news for San Antonio Spurs fans, Tim Duncan has announced that he will not return to the Spurs coaching staff.  However, this was not a shock to the Spurs organization. as everyone including Head Coach Pop knew that his time on the sidelines was only going to be for a brief amount of time. Well maybe not everyone, I am kind of surprised by the news.  For me, Timmy will always be the heartbeat of the San Antonio Spurs.

The Spurs did make the NBA bubble this year but fell short with a below .500 record of 32-39. The San Antonio Spurs did not make the playoffs for the first time in 22 years!  The San Antonio Spurs also had 18-straight seasons of 50 or more wins and held the best-combined record in the NBA. QUIET DOMINANCE!

While the Spurs did have an off year, by their own standards, last year.  Demar, Mills, DeRozan, Walker, Aldridge, and Murray have the future looking bright in San Antonio.  When at 100%, the Spurs can definitely compete in the heated Western Conference.

The Spurs will kick off the 2020-2021 season on Tuesday, December 22nd.

We thank you, Tim Duncan, for everything you did for us fans.
