With the sudden announcement of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo shutting down because of the fear of the coronavirus spreading further, you may be happy to know that the South Texas State Fair will carry on. The announcement of the rodeo closure came about due to a county resident testing positive for COVID-19 despite the fact that the county man had been found to have no recent travel history. With this sudden finding, the mayor declared a state of emergency and thus the rodeo was canceled.

However, the Jefferson County Young Men Business League State Fair is ready to welcome fair-goers and entertain the huge crowds that the fair has planned on attending. The carnival news doesn't stop there either. The Nederland Heritage Festival has also stated that there will be no canceling of their activities as well. The only problem is people are wondering and questioning what steps are going to be implemented to keep attendees safe, but no answer has been given on the details of public safety. Honestly, if you are that worried about it then don't go to the fair. You are not obligated to go out and mingle with crowds of people if you are concerned about your health and the health of those around you.
