There are some new COVID-19 symptoms on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's list of what to watch for if you being to feel sick.

We have encouraged everyone from the beginning to watch the CDC website regularly for updates about the virus. The agenda for many cities in Texas is re-open, re-open, re-open. While this is important, so is continuing to watch this information from the CDC. They are constantly updating information about the virus daily.

The new symptoms being reported by the CDC brings the total symptoms for this virus up to nine. The new symptoms include:

  • Loss of taste of smell
  • Sore throat
  • Chills
  • Repeated shaking and chills
  • Muscle Pain
  • Headache

Fever, cough, and shortness of breath are from the original symptoms list offered by the CDC. These symptoms usually show up within 2 to 14 days of being exposed to COVID-19. The CDC's warning signs for the virus include trouble breathing, pain or chest pressure, difficulty waking yourself up in the morning, and a bluish color to the lips or face. Anyone experiencing symptoms like these should call their healthcare provider right away.
