Home Alone was released in theaters on November 16, 1990. It was the #1 movie at the box office for an incredible 12 straight weeks. It stayed in the Top 10 until April. It played in theaters for nine months and earned over $477 million making it the highest grossing live-action comedy of all-time. (At least until The Hangover Part 2 came along).
