This new extended trailer for The Peanuts Movie hints at a film that's a bit more charming than you might expect. It also looks like it could be a legitimately good coming-of-age film, which seems about right with Paul Feig involved as a producer — he may be best known these days for his female-driven comedy films, but Feig is also the guy responsible for Freaks and Geeks, one of the greatest television shows of all time.
As Charlie Brown and Snoopy are perhaps best known for their classic holiday special ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas,’ it only makes sense that the new ‘Peanuts’ trailer debuts with a very Christmas-y feel. When a big-screen, CG-animated 'Peanuts' movie was announced, many people groaned a hearty "good grief!," worried they would ruin the cartoon classic. But, today we get a first look at Charlie Brown and Snoopy in the 'Peanuts' movie and, you know what? It looks very faithful to the classic Charles Schultz design.
It looks like chipmunks are neck-in-neck with squirrels when it comes to liking peanuts. They’re flexible mouths allow them to literally shove multiple nuts, almost the height of their own bodies, into their mouths at once.
