The Texas superstar athlete Simone Biles recently traveled to Washington, D.C. to receive a medal, however, this one was quite different than the many other medals she has received.

A HIGH HONOR

President Biden presented Biles with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, making her the youngest person to ever receive the honor. The Medal of Honor is the highest award a civilian can receive in the United States.

The medal is presented to someone who has had "an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors."

THE HILARIOUS ENCOUNTER

As prestigious of an event as this was, the story lies in the aftermath. Around the same time frame, Simone was on a flight, possibly traveling back to the Lone Star State, when a hilarious moment happened.

While traveling, Simone was approached by a flight attendant who offered her a coloring book for her long ride home. The 25-year-old, 4-foot-8, most decorated gymnast had just gotten mistaken as a little kid.

Biles immediately took to Instagram to share the encounter.

The screenshot reads "not the flight attendant trying to give me a coloring book when I board.....I said "no I'm good I'm 25"

ARE YOU EVEN LEGAL

What's even funnier is Biles claimed another crew member asked her if she was legal drinking age before delivering her an alcoholic drink.

The other flight attendant gave me a mimosa so we’re in the clear,” she wrote.

Well, I guess even a seven-time Olympic, record-breaking superstar athlete can even get mistaken for a child.
