Rock Of Ages Musical Is Coming To Amarillo Little Theater

Heads up headbangers, Amarillo Little Theater has a treat for you just in time for Valentine's Day. They're bringing Rock Of Ages to Yellow City.

In case you have never heard of Rock Of Ages, it's a musical that uses music from the 80s. We're talking Styx, Bon Jovi, Journey, Europe, Pat Benantar, and several others.

There's romance. There's action. There's big hair.

It's a pretty campy production. There's some tongue-in-cheek humor with characters destroying the fourth wall. It's like when Deadpool addresses the audience, but without the gratuitous violence and superheros. There is however spandex. They do have that in common.

Rock Of Ages has even been on the big screen. Tom Cruise starred in it.

I didn't see it.

The show will run from February 6, through February 16 at the Amarillo Little Theater Adventure Space. Tickets are available now, and yes, the show is rated R.

So don't bring the kids. Make it a "mommy-daddy night out."
