No More Remote Learning for V.I.S.D
NO MORE REMOTE LEARNING:
As reported by The Victoria Advocate, The Victoria Independent School District has announced that remote learning will not be an option for the 2021 school year! Also announced in the district release that masks are no longer mandated and are optional, according to the district release. However, virtual learning will still be available only to students who are in quarantine because of COVID-19 or coming in close contact with someone who has had it. Many school districts have already announced an end to their remote learning status. What do you think about this decision? Is this decision long overdue or is it too soon? VISD will start the 2021-2022 school year on August 18th and will run through May 26th. Spring Break will run from March 14th-March 18th 2022.
WHAT DISTRICT DO YOU LIVE IN?
Students entering elementary, middle, or high school shall be assigned to the campus that serves the school zone in which their parent/legal guardian resides or in which the student resides as unaccompanied youth.
THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS:
Exceptions to this campus assignment requirement are made when the student is assigned to another school through the enrollment capping procedure, special program placement, for disciplinary reasons, or when the student is approved for an intra-district transfer or another legally required assignment.
