Saturday Morning Ritual

Waking up early on Saturdays in the Crossroads and heading to the Farmers Market is a ritual in my household. It is a family outing that my daughter and I look forward to and a tradition I will continue as she grows. We wake up, grab out doggie-decorated reusable baggies and head out to see what the Farmers Market has in store for us.

Every Saturday brings a new adventure. Browsing around all the fresh food outdoors is a rush. It brings a surge of happiness that indoor grocery stores just can't produce. Just knowing your food was sourced from a local family that put their all into their products makes your food taste so much better.

Load Up at the Farmer's Market

I'll be the first to admit, in the beginning, I was a bit hesitant. I thought surely all the food would be a bunch of vegetables with an organic sign to triple the price. I cannot stress how wrong I was. I shop smart and end up LOADING up at the farmer's market without breaking the bank. The quality of the products are so high, and the prices are refreshing.

Summer Harvest is On

Right now, the summer harvest is out, and you can find a bunch of melons, peppers, and squash, and many of the vendor tables. There are also tons of baked goods like homemade zucchini bread, cinnamon rolls, and you can even find cookies and macaroons every so often! If you catch anyone selling coffee cake, don't think, just buy- you won't regret it, I promise!

When and Where is the Farmers Market?

The Victoria Farmers Market is located at the Pattie Dodson Center at 2508 N Navarro St every Saturday from 9 am till 1 pm. I recommend getting there in the earlier opening hours because some of the best finds go fast!

If you stop by, grab something you love or try something new! Here are some fun recipes with everyday items you can find at the Victoria Farmer's Market right now; check it out!
