A fur baby in Luling kept bringing home bones but the family did not think anything of it. That is until he brought a skull home and that prompted a call to the Luling Police Department. According to an article posted by mysanantono.com a Luling family reached out to the Luling Police Department on Thursday, February 9th around 5:45 about a human skull in the family's backyard, according to a social media post.

According to the article,  A Luling homeowner told police that the family dog had been bringing bones back to the yard for nearly a week. The homeowner would just collect the bones in "a plastic bag thinking they were bones from an animal," according to the original Facebook post.

Photos of the remains were sent to the Attorney General's Office, but they ruled out the remains belonging to the high-profile missing person case, according to the post.

The official statement reads...

With the assistance of Texas Search and Rescue (TEXSAR) and Caldwell County Office of Emergency Management, the remaining skeletal remains have been located. The remains were located in an abandoned structure near the residence where the dog brought the original bones. At this time the scene does not appear to be suspicious in nature and the sex and race of the subject is not known. The incident is still under investigation.
