Lowe’s Is Donating $10 Million To Medical Professionals
Lowe's is reaching out to our medical professionals with a $10 million donation to provide them with personal protective equipment(PPE). Hospitals across the country are facing shortages of personal protective equipment.
Lowe's is committing $25 million to help hospitals and non-profits. Lowe's website details what some of the money will go towards:
$10 million in essential medical gear, such as respirators, will be given to hospitals and medical centers.
$4.5 million will be given to Lowe's stores in the U.S. and Canada, who will then donate to their communities for short-term and long-term needs.
$1.5 million will support the COVID-19 Response Fund in the greater Charlotte region.
$500,000 will go to the American Red Cross.
President and CEO of Lowe's Marvin Ellison issued the following statement." We are committing $25 million to support the emerging needs of our associates, customers and communities,"... "This includes a $10 million donation in essential protective products to do our part in helping to keep medical professionals on the frontlines of this crisis healthy and safe. We deeply appreciate their actions and commitment. These funds will also support our Employee Relief Fund and offer small business relief for our Pros."
