Its Common Sense Day today (in case you weren't able to derive that from the title)! This is a day we need to make others aware of the common sense they don't use. Now some of you may be asking, "What is common sense?" It is the ability to see what will result in good consequences or bad. For example: You see a white windowless van with "Free Candy" spray-painted on the side. Do you dare to find out if indeed there is free candy being given out, or do you keep walking knowing this is a trap?

Well, common sense would dictate that you don't engage and probably report this to the police. That is what it means to have common sense. See a potential bad situation and finding other ways around it. There is an old saying coined by a man named Will Rogers and it goes "Common Sense Is Not That Common." And so today we celebrate Common Sense Day on his birthday. In 1776, Common Sense was used to inspire the American Revolution. Common Sense was a pamphlet written by Thomas Paine and it was about the 13 Colonies separating from the British.
