‘Jetpack Joyride’ Gives You Reason to Go For Another Ride

We’re hard-pressed to come up with a mobile game that’s as flat-out fun as Jetpack Joyride. Developer Halfbrick, not content with its ludicrously high — and well-desrved — 90 Metacritic rating, is releasing a free update that makes the game even deeper.

Version 1.3 of the $1 download adds all sorts of features geared to renew your addiction, earn coins (or buy them outright) and exchange them for new upgrades. There’s also a free demo version of the game available, if you’re worried that every game critic is wrong and you might be in jeopardy of wasting your hard earned dollar.

Highlights include X-ray specs, gravity belt, coin magnet and a missile jammer. Looks like those office bathroom breaks are about to get a heck of a lot longer.
