‘Jeopardy!’ Host Alex Trebek Injured After Pursuing Burglar

Talk about jeopardy — longtime game show host Alex Trebek arrived at a California event on crutches yesterday and revealed that he was hurt while in pursuit of a burglar at a San Francisco hotel.

TMZ reports that the 71-year-old icon hurt his Achilles tendon while chasing down robber Lucinda Moyers, 56, who had nabbed a bracelet and some cash from Trebek’s room. Moyers was later arrested and Trebek is now arguably the most bada** syndicated game show host (step aside, Sajak).

Despite his injury, Trebek still fulfilled his hosting obligations at the National Geographic World Championship that afternoon, where he told the concerned crowd that he was already scheduled for surgery on Friday.
