Six Flags Over Texas officially opens for the 2026 season. It'll be a special season as the park celebrates its 65th anniversary this year. Tormanta Rampaging Run will open sometime this year. Many areas, rides, and attractions have seen quite a few upgrades during the off-season, including new additions to Mr. Freeze and Batman. Bring the entire family out for fun and thrills this weekend or any other weekend this spring. There is an admission fee to enter.

It is time to shop until you can't shop or walk anymore! The world's largest flea market is open for business, and vendors will spread out over 450 acres with their vintage goods for sale, along with homemade crafts, antiques, soaps, animals, clothing, and so much more. There's live entertainment and, of course, the festival food to satisfy your appetite. You'll find something you didn't realize you needed!

Mrs. Lee's Daffodil Garden

Millions of daffodils are in bloom in Gladewater. The garden is open to the public and is perfect for family pictures and picnics! This garden is a non-profit garden that accepts generous donations for admission, that goes toward the restoration of the garden. This isn't going to be your typical 5k in Longview. Most 5ks are run in a loop; this 5k will be a point-to-point race where participants park at the finish line and are shuttled to the start to run their way back to the finish line in this chip-timed run. Fun awaits at the finish line. There is a registration fee to participate.

Fly Fishing Class

Join us for a beginner's fly fishing class - no experience required. Master fly-fisher Bob Cappallo will focus on equipment, equipment selection, basic knot tying, casting, and casting fundamentals. The class is open to adults and youths accompanied by an adult. No fly-fishing experience is required. Equipment will be provided, but students may bring their own. The $50 fee for the class will include lunch.
