Texas drivers saw something straight out of an action movie Sunday night when a military-style tractor-trailer in full camouflage led officers on a chaotic 75-minute police chase across Harris County. Sparks were flying, tires shredded, and the massive truck smashed into at least 10 vehicles as deputies tried to stop it.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the chase began around 10 p.m. when an off-duty deputy saw the truck hit another vehicle and speed off. The vehicle’s massive frame and missing license plate made it impossible to ignore, but that didn’t stop the driver from pushing deeper into chaos.

When deputies tried to pull him over, he refused to stop, tearing through Houston streets as officers deployed spike strips, fired a round, and eventually called in SWAT.

Dashcam and cellphone footage captured the truck plowing forward on destroyed tires, throwing sparks as it smashed past traffic with officers close behind. Even with major damage, the driver allegedly attempted to ram patrol cars before eventually coming to a stop on the Eastex Freeway near Little York, shutting the freeway down for hours.

SWAT officers used tear gas to force out the suspect, identified as 53-year-old Omar Moreno, who was taken into custody without injury. Deputies say Moreno is now facing three counts of aggravated assault and one count of evading arrest.

This isn’t Moreno’s first run-in with law enforcement. Court records show he previously stole a woman’s vehicle in 2025, a crime that ended with her car found disabled on the Hardy Toll Road, and Moreno was reportedly discovered naked inside.

Despite the destruction, no one was injured. Am I the only one who looked at this and immediately thought of Killdozer?
