Texas A&M Victoria Baseball Secures Home Playoff Series
The Texas A&M University–Victoria baseball team has been playing dominant baseball all season long. With the Jaguars' sweep of Texas College this weekend, the team has secured a home playoff series in the Red River Athletics Conference.
Make plans to support the Jags for the first round of the playoffs.
This first round of the playoffs is scheduled for April 24 and 25 at Riverside Stadium. The Jags are also one step closer to making program history as the first-ever RRAC regular-season championship.
What is the Jaguars' magic number to clinch the top spot?
The magic number is 2, which can be a combination of A&M–Victoria wins and LSU Shreveport losses. A&M–Victoria improved to 32–11 overall and 20–4 in conference play. This weekend, the Jaguars will hit the road for Hobbs, New Mexico, for a very important 3-game series with the University of the Southwest.
It was also Senior Day during the recent homestand at Riverside Stadium.

Following the game on Saturday, the Jaguars honored Kaiser, Cardwell, Farmer, Garcia, Mireles, Montanez, Roberto Olguin, Jonathan Jones, Josiah Taylor, and Blane Zeplin. Their contributions are a major part of the team's success this year. Go Jags!
Texas A&M Victoria Baseball hosted a Little League Night.
Back in March, the Jaguars hosted a Little League night. What a cool experience for these youngsters to get to run on the big field. Kudos to the organization for supporting and showcasing our youth.
