Teacher Supply Drive Takes Place on Thursday, August 6, at Victory GMC
It's almost time for our 3rd annual Townsquare Media of Victoria Teacher Supply Drive presented by JAG Metals LLC and Invista. This year's event will take place on Thursday, August 6 from 5 p.m. - 6: 30p.m in the parking lot of Victory GMC. There is no need to get out of your car. Get there early.
Here are the instructions for the Teacher Supply Drive.
- Please enter on the side of Victory GMC (4702 N. Navarro), off of Morning Glory.
- Stay in your car
- Have your teacher ID ready to show.
- Get your classroom school supplies.
- It's that easy!
*the line of cars will go down Morning Glory, then down Sam Houston.
Each teacher will receive.
Each teacher who shows their teacher badge receives a tote with Clorox wipes, tissues, hand sanitizer, paper towels, etc.
Some lucky teachers will receive grand prizes.
There will also be a few grand prizes! Teachers have a chance to WIN: a $500 gift card to The Palm Tree, a Whataburger Gift Basket, Pedicures for a year from Royalty Nail Spa, a Leopard 52qt cooler from Texas Dek Skin, and a few other surprises.
Townsquare Media Victoria handed out over 1,000 backpacks at last year's event.
Last year, we handed out over 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to our educators. The turnout was incredible at Victory GMC as the line of cars started at Victory, went down Morningside, down Sam Houston, and even snaked back onto Navarro. It was unreal.
Our goal is simple—to tell our teachers thank you. Teachers give so much of themselves to their students, and many spend their own money to purchase classroom supplies so every child has what they need to succeed. This event is our community's way of showing them how much they are appreciated.
