Over the weekend, I saw many videos pop up on my social media about Fiesta, Texas. Most of them were for "Fright Fest" but a few of them show rides getting stuck this weekend. One of them is from the Iron Rattler and the other was the Texas Sky Screamer.

ALWAYS CLOSED:

At one point, I thought the Poltergeist was cursed! Back in 2022 i remember the ride being closed on about 6 consecutive visits.  Alongside the manufactured thrills, you also get a ride car that feels like it vibrates more than it should. There are loud mechanical noises that make you feel as if you shouldn't be there, and the ride just looks old, which makes for a much more intense ride.

We then wen to Fiesta Texas for the first time after the Poltergeist was redone. It was OPEN. What a rare occasion.  It even had a new look with fresh paint and a new ride queue. It appears the Poltergeist is back to full force. Take a look at the difference. I have been on this ride every  time I have been to Fiesta, Texas since 2023.

A THROWBACK TO ASTROWORLD

Going to a theme park these days is very expensive. Just look at the prices of admission for the three theme parks in Texas.  Fiesta Texas and Six Flags over Texas is $34.99 online, Sea World is $49.99 online. If you buy at the gate it is going to be much more and that does not even include parking! Check out this great post from one of the many amusement park pages that I follow.  READ THE FULL STORY.

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
