
Texas Border Bust: Compact SUV Concealed Nearly $1M in Cocaine
U.S. Customs and Border Protection continue to take dangerous drugs off of the streets! This drug bust took nearly $1 million of cocaine off of the streets at the Del Rio Port of Entry. The drugs were hidden within a compartment within the seats of a Chevrolet Captiva, a very unassuming vehicle. The driver was a 75 year old male Mexican Citizen.
The bust occurred on May 9th at the Del Rio International Bridge. The driver of the Chevrolet Captiva was selected for secondary inspection. In total, 32 packages of cocaine were found totaling 69.71 pounds with an estimated street value of $930,766.00. Port Director Liliana Flores, Del Rio Port of Entry issued the following statement.

Back in March, almost $7 million of cocaine was found inside of a tractor trailer of a semitruck attempting to cross into the U.S. at a port of entry in the Rio Grande Valley.
