$7.5 Million Texas Lottery Winner Celebrates by Having A Meal at Wendy’s
Here is a huge Texas Lottery scratch-off win from one of the $100 scratch-offs. The first of four $7.5 million winning tickets was sold in a small town right outside of Waco, Texas, in the town of Robinson. The ticket was the $100 Loteria Supreme and was bought at a Texas Lottery vending machine.
The winner bought consecutive tickets the Texas Lottery vending machine.
According to a press release, the winner saw the machine by the door. It was kind of an impulse buy. They bought two $100 Loteria Supreme tickets, and the first one was a loser. They scratched the second, stood there for a moment, and didn't realize they had a big win at first.
After a brief moment, they noticed the huge win, and it started to sink in that they had just won $7.5 million. They went to Wendy's and had a celebratory meal.
Congratulations to the winner, who will stay anonymous. The prize was claimed by IGWT Trust of Indialantic, Florida.
What are my odds on the $100 Loteria Supreme?
While I have broken down odds on many $5 and $10 tickets, I have never broken down the odds on a full book of $100 tickets. So here goes.
Every book of $100 Loteria Supreme has 15 tickets, which means each book costs $1,500, and this game has a guaranteed book payout of $900. So, the moment you buy a book, you have lost $600 unless you find that lucky book. Overall odds of winning any prize in Loteria Supreme are 1 in 3.23**
