Casting With Cops Returns For Its 5th Year in Victoria
This is one of the coolest kid events in Victoria. Our friends at the Victoria Police Department are hosting a free youth fishing event on Saturday, June 13, from 8 a.m. to noon. The event will take place at the Son Valley Ranch on Highway 87.
Kids will be able to fish alongside officers from the Victoria Police Department and other local first responders. This is a great way for our kids to get to know our police officers while enjoying a fun, family-friendly environment.
Here is what will be provided for the kids:
- A fishing pole and bait to fish.
- Prizes for the participants.
- Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments will be provided.
Reserve your spot now, spaces are limited.
Spots are limited to 50 participants per hour, so be sure you reserve your spot by clicking here. This is something that the Victoria Police Department has done in the past, and it is a community favorite event. This year will be the fifth annual event.
- Children ages 2 to 15 will have the opportunity to meet their local first responders and fish.
- Officers will help children with baiting hooks, reeling in fish, taking fish off the hooks, and help the kids when needed.
- Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the event.
- Fishing equipment is available but limited. Participants are encouraged to bring their own if available.
