On Iron Maiden's "Legacy of the Beast" tour, constant wardrobe changes have brought Bruce Dickinson's usually engaging stage banter to a minimum. That changed when the singer witnessed venue security at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington punch a fan in the head multiple times.

Taking time to address the serious matter at hand, Dickinson explained that the band was tending to a fan who had been roughed up by, to his estimation, ten security guards.  "We've got an Iron Maiden fan backstage who's had the **** kicked out of him by ten security guards. I saw one security guard lean over the barrier and punch a kid half his size in the face four times," the singer said of the scene.

Further detailing the incident, Dickinson exclaimed ten people were involved, decrying the actions as he went on, "This is not the ******* mixed martial arts. If it was the mixed martial arts, you'd have a referee, you know. This is not that."

"We've played to several hundred thousand people so far on this tour. This is the first time anything like this has happened," he continued. Confused as to how this would unfold in the first place, Dickinson seethed, "I don't know if this happens in this building all the time, I don't know if this is an act of ******* madness, and I hope that kid is getting hospital treatment now because he's bleeding from head wounds."

Wishing for some sort of restitution, the fan was urged by the frontman to file a lawsuit when he said, "I hope that kid takes this building to the ******* cleaners."

Bruce Dickinson is a man of action and, knowing fans are in a constant state of filming concerts on their cell phones, mapped out a plan of action. "And if anybody has any footage — camera footage or anything — then we would be pleased to help facilitate it to find the bullies and the ******* criminals who are responsible," he went on, noting, "It's not necessary, it's not big, it's not clever. It's just called 'bullying' — it's as simple as that. So this is a very appropriate song, it's called 'The Evil That Men Do'."
