Over the weekend a jealous girlfriend took things too far in Atascosa, Texas.

23-year-old Senaida Soto, Facetimed her boyfriend and was surprised when another woman answered his phone. Enraged, Soto rushed over to his home to check things out.

MAKING HER WAY INSIDE THE HOME

When Soto arrived at her boyfriend's how she quickly broke in and made her way inside. 

Soto proceeded to steal several items from the home, then in a fit of rage, she lit the living room on fire. The fire started on the couch and the entire area was quickly engulfed in flames.

Soto became upset that another woman answered her boyfriend’s phone, went to the boyfriend’s house, and that is when she lit the couch in the living room on fire,” the sheriff’s department’s post stated.

Video of Soto lighting the couch on fire was retrieved, as well as text messages she sent to her boyfriend. While the home was on fire, Soto made sure she checked in, texting her boyfriend "I hope your house is okay," as it was burning down.

SOTO ARRESTED AND CHARGED

Authorities arrested Senaida Soto on charges of burglary of a habitation and arson, according to a post by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

A COMPLETE MISUNDERSTANDING

Sadly, this was an entire misunderstanding from Soto. The woman who answered her boyfriend's phone was actually a family member. The fire she created caused $50,000 in damages to the home, and surely, ended a relationship.
